Questions people ask first
Can people on a Zoom, Teams or Meet call see AuraCloak?
No. AuraCloak asks Windows to exclude its window from screen capture (WDA_EXCLUDEFROMCAPTURE). Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, OBS, Loom and the Snipping Tool all capture through Windows, so the overlay is left out of what they share or record. Do I need an OpenAI or Claude API key?
No. Browser mode runs ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini web inside the overlay with your normal login, including ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro. If you prefer the API, paste a key for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, GitHub Copilot, Azure OpenAI or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint.
What does AuraCloak cost?
$9 per month, cancel any time, or $49 once for lifetime access. Both plans include every feature, including screen share invisibility. API usage is billed by your AI provider, usually a few dollars a month.
Does AuraCloak work on Mac?
No. AuraCloak is built for Windows 10 (version 2004 or later) and Windows 11. On older Windows 10 builds the overlay shows as a black box in captures instead of disappearing.
Where are my chats and API keys stored?
On your PC. API keys are encrypted with Windows DPAPI. AuraCloak has no account system and no chat sync. Your prompts go straight from your PC to the AI provider you picked.
