An invisible teleprompter for Windows, with AI built in
AuraCloak keeps your script or speaker notes in a see-through window above your slides. Windows leaves that window out of Zoom, Teams and Meet shares and out of OBS and Loom recordings, so the audience sees the slides while you see both.
What kind of invisible teleprompter this is
Dedicated teleprompter apps like ShareSpeak and GlassCue scroll a script for you, some with voice control, and most started on Mac. AuraCloak is a different tool that happens to solve the same problem on Windows. It is an always-on-top AI chat and browser window that screen capture skips. You scroll your notes yourself.
That trade buys you two things a plain teleprompter lacks. First, the AI. Paste a 900-word script and ask for cue lines you can glance at. Get a one-sentence answer when someone in the Q&A asks for a number you didn't prepare. Second, browser mode, which can open your script straight from Google Docs or Notion inside the same hidden window.
And it works on a single laptop screen. PowerPoint's Presenter View keeps notes private only if you have a second monitor and share just the slideshow screen. Share your whole screen by mistake and everyone reads your notes. With AuraCloak, sharing the whole screen is fine.
Talks where hidden notes help
Webinars with live Q&A
Keep the run-of-show at the top of the overlay. When a question lands, press Alt+V, say it, and get a short answer drafted from the notes already in the chat.
Recorded walkthroughs
Loom and OBS skip the window, so you can read a tight script while recording a product tour. The video shows the product, and the script stays on your side of the glass.
Quarterly reviews
Put the numbers you must say exactly (revenue, churn, headcount) in the notes so you quote them right while the slide shows the chart.
Remote conference talks
Drag a narrow overlay just under your webcam. Your eyes stay close to the lens while you read the next cue.
Live demos with a checklist
Keep the demo order and the feature you must not forget on screen, at 60% opacity over the app you are demoing.
Prompts that turn a script into cues
Replies are examples and will vary by model.
You: turn this script into cue lines, max 8 words each, one block per slide
Reply: Slide 1: Why invoices still take 9 days
Slide 2: Three handoffs, two inboxes, one spreadsheet
Slide 3: Demo, approval in one click
You: I'm 4 minutes over. which two blocks can I cut without losing the argument?
Reply: Cut slide 6 (history of the old process) and the second customer example on slide 9. The demo and pricing still connect.
You (Alt+V): someone asked how this year's numbers compare to last year, one sentence from my notes
Reply: Processing time fell from 9 days to 2, and invoice volume grew 40% with the same team.
You: Alt+S give me a 20-second way to explain this chart
Reply: Each bar is a month. The blue part is invoices approved same day, and it passes half of all volume in June, right after the rollout.
Set it up like a teleprompter
The overlay starts at 440 by 620 pixels. Resize it to a narrow column and drag it right under your webcam so your eye line stays near the lens.
- Set opacity between 60% and 80% in Settings so the slide shows through
- Fix the position in
auracloak.iniunder[Window]so it opens in the same spot every time - Leave click-through off while you scroll notes, then press Alt+C when you need to click the slide underneath
Ready for your next presentation in four steps
Load the script
Paste it into the chat and ask for cue lines, or open the doc in browser mode.
Position it
Resize to a narrow column under your webcam. Lower the opacity until slides show through.
Rehearse once
Record a dry run in OBS or Loom and play it back. The overlay should be missing from the video.
Present
Ctrl+Alt+Space shows or hides it. Share your whole screen without worrying about notes.

Invisible teleprompter questions
Does AuraCloak auto-scroll like a teleprompter app?
No. AuraCloak has no auto-scroll or voice-controlled scrolling. You scroll the notes yourself with the mouse wheel. Short cue lines, five to eight words per slide, are easier to glance at than a full scrolling script anyway.
Will the audience or the recording see my notes?
Not through screen capture. AuraCloak uses the Windows WDA_EXCLUDEFROMCAPTURE flag, so Zoom, Teams, Google Meet in a browser, OBS, Loom and Xbox Game Bar leave the window out of shares and recordings. It needs Windows 10 version 2004 or later. A camera filming your monitor would still see it.
Does it stay on top of a full-screen PowerPoint slideshow?
Yes. The overlay is always on top by default, including over full-screen slideshows, browsers and Google Slides presentation mode. Press Ctrl+Alt+Space to hide or show it.
Can I load my script from Google Docs or Notion?
Yes. Switch the overlay to browser mode and open the document URL. You sign in once and the session is kept in a separate browser profile on your PC. The page stays excluded from screen capture like the chat view.
Does AuraCloak work on Mac?
No. AuraCloak runs on Windows 10 version 2004 or later and Windows 11, x64 only.
