Granola costs $0 on Basic, $14 per user per month on Business and $35 per user per month on Enterprise (checked October 11, 2026). Basic includes AI meeting notes and chat but keeps only 30 days of meeting history. Business adds unlimited history, model choice, pre-meeting briefs, follow-up emails, integrations, API and MCP access.
How much does Granola cost?
We read granola.ai/pricing on October 11, 2026. Prices are per user per month. The page didn't show separate annual pricing.
| Plan | Price | One user, one year | Ten users, one year | Meeting history |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $0 | $0 | $0 | 30 days |
| Business | $14/user/month | $168 | $1,680 | Unlimited |
| Enterprise | $35/user/month | $420 | $4,200 | Unlimited |
The yearly figures are our multiplication, not Granola's. Granola's pricing is per seat with no minute caps listed, which is the main structural difference from Otter, where the plan you need depends on how long your meetings run.
Is Granola free?
Yes. Basic costs nothing and includes AI meeting notes, customizable templates, multi-language support, AI chat inside a meeting and across meetings (with automatic model selection), shared folders, Slack integration and recipes. You can opt out of model training.
The catch is the 30-day meeting history. Notes older than a month drop out of what you can see, so Basic suits people who act on notes the same week. If you want to search back to last quarter's planning meeting, that's what Business is for.
Basic also leaves out pre-meeting briefs, follow-up email drafts, the workspace dictionary, Notion, Zapier and HubSpot integrations, API access and centralized billing.
What does Granola Business add?
For $14 per user per month, Business gives you:
- Unlimited meeting notes and history.
- Advanced AI models, with a choice of model.
- Pre-meeting briefs, follow-up emails and a workspace dictionary for names and jargon.
- Integrations with Attio, Notion, HubSpot, Affinity and Zapier, plus MCP and API access.
- Centralized billing and user management.
It doesn't include Salesforce, usage analytics, SSO or admin controls over MCP, API and integrations. Those are Enterprise.
What does Granola Enterprise add?
At $35 per user per month, Enterprise adds SSO with SCIM provisioning, workspace-wide policies for retention, sharing and model training opt-out, HIPAA-compliant workspaces, an audit API, MDM/Intune app wrapping on iOS, Salesforce and other advanced integrations, usage analytics and dedicated support. Granola's security page also says Enterprise has model training turned off by default, while consumer users are opted in to training on anonymized data until they switch it off in Settings.
Which Granola plan should you pick?
- You want clean notes and act on them within a month: Basic.
- You need to search past meetings, want follow-up drafts, or push notes into Notion or HubSpot: Business.
- IT requires SSO, retention controls or HIPAA, or your CRM is Salesforce: Enterprise.
Granola pricing vs Otter pricing
These two get compared more than any other pair of note-takers, and they price in different ways. Otter caps minutes; Granola caps history.
| Granola Basic | Granola Business | Otter Basic | Otter Pro | Otter Business | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Price per user per month | $0 | $14 | $0 | $16.99, or $8.33 yearly | $30, or $19.99 yearly |
| Monthly minutes | No cap listed | No cap listed | 300 | 1,200 | Unlimited |
| Per-meeting limit | None listed | None listed | 30 min | 90 min | 4 hours |
| History | 30 days | Unlimited | 25 most recent | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Meeting bot | None | None | Notetaker bot or bot-free apps | Same | Same |
If your meetings run over 30 minutes, Granola's free plan goes further than Otter's. If you want transcripts you can keep for good at the lowest price, Otter Pro billed yearly undercuts Granola Business. Our Otter.ai pricing guide has Otter's limits in full.
A rough per-meeting number helps too. Someone with 15 meetings a week has about 65 a month, so Granola Business works out to roughly 22 cents a meeting. At three meetings a week it's closer to $1.08 each, and the free plan may be enough if you don't need old notes.
Need answers during the meeting rather than notes after it? AuraCloak is a private AI overlay for Windows, $49 once.
See AuraCloak pricingWhat Granola costs a larger team
Per-seat pricing adds up fast at the top tier. For a 50-person team, Business is $8,400 a year and Enterprise is $21,000 a year, so SSO, SCIM, retention policies, Salesforce and HIPAA workspaces cost an extra $12,600 annually. For a regulated company that's often non-negotiable. For a 50-person startup without an identity provider mandate, Business usually covers it. The pricing page didn't show an annual discount, so ask Granola's sales team before signing for a big group. Volume pricing is common at that size even when it isn't published, and it never hurts to ask.
Things to know before you pay
Granola needs a Google or Microsoft account to sign in, and Microsoft sign-in works with cloud Microsoft 365 calendars, not on-premises Exchange. On macOS it needs version 14 or later. It runs on Windows, iOS and Android too.
On privacy, Granola's security page says it doesn't store meeting audio on desktop (mobile caches it temporarily), keeps transcripts and notes in a US-hosted AWS environment, and has a SOC 2 Type 2 report. The training opt-out is worth flipping on day one if your meetings include client data. And since no bot joins, other people on the call won't know a transcript exists unless you tell them.
If you wanted live help, not notes
Granola is a good note-taker. It doesn't help much in the moment, when someone asks a question you can't answer off the top of your head. AuraCloak is built for that moment instead. It's a Windows overlay hidden from screen sharing: press Ctrl+Alt+Space, ask, read the answer. It doesn't transcribe or record the call, so it won't replace Granola's notes. It costs $9 a month or $49 once, and uses your own AI provider or your ChatGPT Plus login in browser mode.
