Pick Sensei AI if you want a hands-free interview copilot with speech recognition, a coding copilot, resume and story tools, and support for 30+ languages. Pick AuraCloak if you're on Windows and want a general AI overlay with your own model or ChatGPT login, no account and a $49 lifetime license instead of $89 a month. Prices checked October 2026.

How we compared
We make AuraCloak. Sensei's facts come from senseicopilot.com, read on October 11, 2026. Its site doesn't say whether there's a native desktop installer, so the "browser-based" line comes from third-party reviews, and we flag it as such. We haven't run Sensei on a live call.
Sensei AI pricing vs AuraCloak pricing
Sensei's PRO plan is $89 a month if you pay monthly, or $24 a month if you commit to a year. That gap is the whole story, so here's what each choice costs over time, before any AI usage on our side:
| Plan | 3 months | 1 year | 2 years |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sensei PRO, monthly | $267 | $1,068 | $2,136 |
| Sensei PRO, yearly | $288 (paid up front) | $288 | $576 |
| AuraCloak monthly | $27 | $108 | $216 |
| AuraCloak lifetime | $49 | $49 | $49 |
Most people need interview help for a few months, not two years. For that pattern, Sensei's monthly plan gets expensive fast and the yearly plan locks you in longer than you need. AuraCloak's lifetime license is cheaper than one month of Sensei monthly.
The fair caveat: Sensei includes the AI, and AuraCloak doesn't. You pay your provider for API calls, which for light use is often a few dollars a month, or nothing extra in browser mode if you already have ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro. And Sensei's free plan costs nothing at all if 15-minute sessions are enough. See AuraCloak pricing.
Hands-free vs on-demand
Sensei calls itself "100% hands-free". It uses speech recognition on the conversation and produces answers without you typing. That's the point of the product.
AuraCloak is the opposite design. It shows and hides with Ctrl+Alt+Space, takes screenshots with Alt+S, and only listens when you press Alt+V, and then only to your own microphone. You decide every time the AI runs. For a code review, a client demo or a presentation where you want your notes on screen, that's what you want. For a fully automatic interview helper, Sensei fits better.
Pay once, use your own model, keep it off the screen share. AuraCloak is $49 lifetime.
Get AuraCloakAI models and bring-your-own-key
Sensei's site doesn't name its models, so you can't pick between GPT, Claude or Gemini or see what changed when answers get worse.
AuraCloak connects to OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, GitHub Copilot, Azure OpenAI or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint (Ollama, LM Studio, OpenRouter, vLLM). You can switch providers from the overlay. You also get a custom system prompt, so you can paste your resume and the job description once and get answers that use them, which is handy for practice sessions.
What a prep session looks like in AuraCloak
Say you have a product manager interview on Thursday. Paste the job description and your resume summary into the system prompt. Then ask the overlay to play the interviewer: "Ask me one behavioral question for this role, wait for my answer, then critique it." Answer out loud using Alt+V with Local Whisper, so the practice audio stays on your PC. After a few rounds, ask it to list the weak spots it noticed. That's the kind of work AuraCloak is built for, and it costs the same whether you do it for one interview or fifty.
Platforms: browser vs native Windows
A browser copilot runs anywhere Chrome runs, including a Mac. That's a real advantage for Sensei if you're not on Windows.
AuraCloak is a native .NET 8 app, about a 50 MB self-contained installer, for Windows 10 version 2004 or later and Windows 11 on x64. It sits above every app, not just the browser, so it works over Visual Studio, Excel or a Teams desktop call. It uses the Windows WDA_EXCLUDEFROMCAPTURE flag so Zoom, Teams, OBS and Snipping Tool don't capture it. A phone pointed at the screen still sees it, and so do hardware capture cards.
Many employers don't allow outside help during a live interview. Use any of these tools for practice, prep and notes, and check the rules before a real one.
What users say
We found few first-hand Reddit threads on Sensei. Most reviews of it are written by competitors (Final Round AI and Interview Coder both publish one), so read them with care. Across interview copilots generally, the complaints that keep coming up are lag before an answer appears and generic answers on harder questions. Sensei's free plan is the cheapest way to see whether it clears that bar for you.
