How we compared

We build AuraCloak, so we have a stake here. Verve's details come from vervecopilot.com and its pricing page, read on October 11, 2026. We haven't used Verve on a live call, so speed and stealth claims are reported as Verve's own. Where third-party sites filled a gap, we name them.

Verve AI pricing vs AuraCloak pricing

Verve's pricing page lists plan limits but didn't show prices when we loaded it, so here's what we can confirm:

Verve planCopilot sessionsSession lengthMock interviews
Free315 minutes5
Standard560 minutesUnlimited
ProUnlimited90 minutesUnlimited

Third-party reviews put Pro at about $59.50 a month, or about $25.50 a month billed yearly. Those figures come from Final Round AI, a direct competitor of Verve, so check vervecopilot.com before you subscribe.

AuraCloak costs $9 a month or $49 once, every feature included, no session caps and no length limits. The catch is that AI usage isn't bundled: you pay your provider for API calls, or nothing extra if you use browser mode with a ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro login you already pay for. Verve's plans include the AI. If a 15-minute cap is fine for you, Verve's free plan beats our price outright. Details on the pricing page.

Automatic answers vs answers you ask for

Verve listens for questions and pushes a suggested answer, and it claims under 300 ms latency for that loop. It names Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex and Amazon Chime as supported.

AuraCloak doesn't listen to the call at all. You open it with Ctrl+Alt+Space, type or paste a screenshot (Alt+S grabs all monitors, Alt+Shift+1 to 9 grabs one), and read the streamed answer. Voice input is your own microphone, started and sent with Alt+V. Nothing fires unless you trigger it.

That makes AuraCloak a worse fit if you want the AI to follow a conversation on its own. It makes it a better fit for the jobs people actually do with an overlay most days: checking a spec during a standup, drafting a reply in a sales call, explaining a stack trace someone just pasted in chat.

Want an overlay that answers only when you ask, with the model you pick? $49 once on Windows.

AI models and bring-your-own-key

Verve lists a strong model lineup: GPT-5.4, Gemini 3.1 Pro, Claude 4.6 and Llama 4 Maverick. You don't manage keys, and you don't control where the prompts go beyond Verve itself.

AuraCloak routes to the provider you choose. That can be OpenAI or Anthropic with your key, Gemini with a key or Google sign-in, GitHub Copilot through your existing subscription, Azure OpenAI inside your company's tenant, or a local model through Ollama or LM Studio. The Azure and local options are the ones Verve can't match: if your company only approves Azure OpenAI, or you want nothing to leave the PC, AuraCloak covers it. Browser mode also lets you use ChatGPT, Claude.ai, Gemini, Copilot or Perplexity with your normal web login.

Privacy and screen share

Verve says its Stealth Mode keeps the copilot visible only to you while sharing. We can't verify how that's done.

AuraCloak uses the documented Windows flag WDA_EXCLUDEFROMCAPTURE. Capture paths that go through Windows skip the window, so Zoom, Teams, Meet in a browser, Slack, Discord, OBS and PrintScreen leave it out. We publish the limits too: phone cameras, capture cards and remote desktop aren't covered, and builds before Windows 10 2004 show a black box. There's no account, no telemetry and no chat sync, and API keys are encrypted with DPAPI on your machine.

Interview rules

Many employers don't allow outside help in a live interview. If you're using any of these tools to prepare, mock interviews and written notes are the safe ground. AuraCloak is built for meetings, sales, presentations and prep.

What users say about Verve AI

Verve's Capterra listing had no user reviews when we checked, and we found little indexed Reddit discussion of it specifically. The broader interview-copilot threads we read share two complaints: lag between a question and a usable answer, and answers too generic to say out loud on senior-level questions. People who like these tools mostly praise the mock interview practice. Verve's free tier makes it cheap to find out which camp you're in.

Who should choose Verve AI, and who should choose AuraCloak

Choose Verve AI if:

  • You want a free plan to start, even with 15-minute sessions.
  • You need macOS, a browser version or an iPhone app.
  • You want mock interviews, a resume builder and an ATS checker in one place.
  • You want the tool to detect questions without you typing.

Choose AuraCloak if:

  • You're on Windows and want to pay $49 once instead of a monthly plan.
  • You need Azure OpenAI, a local model, or your ChatGPT Plus login.
  • You don't want an account or a tool that hears the other side of the call.
  • Your use is daily work (meetings, sales, coding), not one interview season.
