Final Round AI or LockedIn AI: which should you pick?

Choose LockedIn AI if you want one subscription for the whole job search, with resume, cover letter and LinkedIn tools and a job tracker, and you need it on your phone and in a browser as well as on your laptop.
Choose neither if you're looking for AI help in regular work meetings. Both are built around getting hired.

How we compared
We build AuraCloak, a Windows AI overlay that isn't an interview suite, so we don't sell against either on preparation features. We read both vendors' homepages and pricing pages, both Trustpilot profiles, and third-party reviews in October 2026. OphyAI, our main source for LockedIn prices, sells a competing product and discloses it. We didn't subscribe to either paid plan, so there's no hands-on latency testing here.
Which has better interview preparation?
Final Round AI, narrowly. Its Goal system ties your resume and the job description to every practice session, and the automatic debrief carries what you learned into the next round. Eight practice scenarios cover coding, system design, behavioral rounds and salary negotiation. And most of the setup is in the free plan.
LockedIn's mock interviews come with performance reports and competency scores, which some people prefer because a number is easy to improve against. Where LockedIn pulls ahead is everything around the interview: its resume checker, cover letter generator and job tracker mean you could run your whole search inside it.
So the question is whether you need the extra tools. If you already have a resume you're happy with and a spreadsheet for applications, Final Round's focus is an advantage.
Which is cheaper, Final Round AI or LockedIn AI?
Final Round AI on listed prices. The comparison is messier than it should be because neither company makes the full price easy to see: Final Round shows "$25+" with longer-term discounts behind a click, and LockedIn's pricing page showed no amounts at all when we loaded it.
| Plan | Final Round AI | LockedIn AI |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0, prep features only | Not shown |
| Monthly | From $25 | $54.99 General, $119.99 Professional (promo) |
| 12 months paid monthly | From $300 | $659.88 (General, promo rate) |
| 12 months on 3-month terms | Up to 40% less than monthly | $479.88 (General at $39.99/month) |
| Lifetime | Not offered | $999.50 |
| Phone app pricing | No phone app | $139.99/month Unlimited in the iPhone app |
Two cautions on both sides. Several Final Round Trustpilot reviewers mention monthly charges around $150, higher than the current headline. LockedIn's prices were shown as 50% off with a promo code and auto-renew at the then-current price. Screenshot the checkout page either way.
Which works on more devices?
LockedIn AI, easily. It has desktop apps for Windows 10 and later and macOS 13.1 and later, a web app in Chromium browsers, and apps for iOS and Android. Final Round AI is desktop only, on Windows and macOS 14.4 or later, so older Macs are out.
Which is easier to trust with your money?
Neither scores well, for different reasons.
Final Round's Trustpilot shows 2.9 out of 5 from 278 reviews, with 27% one-star. The complaints are about refunds under a 3-day money-back guarantee being refused for "substantial" usage, annual billing people didn't expect, and support that's mostly automated. Its positive reviews, though, are detailed and focused on prep.
LockedIn's case is stranger. Its homepage quotes a 4.1 Trustpilot score, but Trustpilot itself withheld the rating in October 2026 for a breach of its guidelines and said it had removed fake reviews. LockedIn's refund policy, as updated September 17, 2026, makes monthly and quarterly plans non-refundable once started. Remaining reviews complain about refunds offered at 10 to 20%, hard-to-find cancellation and unexpected renewals.
On balance, Final Round's record is easier to read and its policies sound slightly more forgiving, but read both refund pages before paying.
Can you use either for meetings and work calls?
LockedIn markets its copilot for work meetings, presentations and training sessions as well as interviews, so it's the closer of the two. Final Round is interview-only. In practice both bundle a lot of job search features you'd be paying for and not using, and LockedIn's 120-minute session cap applies to long workshops too.

Are interview copilots allowed in live interviews?
It depends on the employer, and many say no. Both products include a live copilot that listens to a call and shows suggestions privately. Before using that in a real interview, check what the company allows; getting it wrong can cost you an offer. The preparation features of both products are useful whatever the answer, and that's where we'd put the money.
Switching from one to the other mid-search? Cancel the old plan before its renewal date and keep the confirmation, since unexpected renewals are a top complaint for both. Your resume and job descriptions are easy to re-upload; practice history and debriefs don't move between the two.
Where does AuraCloak fit?
AuraCloak isn't an interview suite: no mock interview scoring, no resume tools, no Mac or phone app. It's a private AI overlay for Windows 10 and 11 that Windows excludes from screen capture, so it stays out of Zoom, Teams and Google Meet shares, and it's used mostly for meetings, sales calls, presentations and coding. For interview preparation you can rehearse answers with your own model (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, Azure OpenAI or local) or with your ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro login in browser mode. It never listens to calls; you type, push-to-talk with Alt+V, or screenshot with Alt+S.
A private AI window for every call on Windows, $9 a month or $49 once.
